Bruichladdich 15 yo (2002/2018), Hidden Spirits, 53,1%

Review #802
This is a single Sherry cask from the series “Highproof”. The cask number is BR218 and only 326 bottles were made. Marzipan is the first thing that hits your nose. Then some peat and vegetation joins in. The Sherry influence is mellow, but noticeable.

Light peat and dried fruits in the taste. Oak spices, ripe plums and grapes (almost Armagnac-like). The finish is quite sweet. Burned oak, sweet dried fruits (like sultanas or raisins) and vanilla.

A very interesting, and somewhat different Bruichladdich. Oily and very rich in flavours. A great balance, and if you would like to try something a bit different, you should give this a go. I will give this 88/100 (21/22/22/23).
