Tomatin 11 yo (bottled 2018), The Single Cask, 55,2%

Review #803
A single cask with the casknumber 5777C. It is finished in a Oloroso Sherry cask, and only 70 bottles were made. Dried fruits and tobacco in the smell. It is not sweet dried fruits, and some dry oak sits in the background alongside a little vanilla.

It is rich in the taste and full of dried fruits alongside the Tomatin character. Classic Oloroso influence, and the oak really does a great job. Especially in the finish. The dried fruits are much more sweet than in the smell. Raisins and apricots.

Let the alcohol evaporate a bit after you have poured the whisky, and the flavours just fills the room. It is the best Tomatin I have had in a while – a well chosen cask! I will give this 88/100 (22/22/22/22).
