A single cask from van Wees, with the cask number #50206. Only 280 bottles were made from this hogshead. Easy on the nose. Baked pears and oak spices. A grassy touch in the background.

White fruits again the taste. The oak comes forward here as well – burned oak - and some honey as well. A very oily (or melted honey) mouthfeel. It is very sweet in the finish, with the oak coming a bit forward as the other flavours dies a bit out.

It is too sad Imperial Distillery closed down, but I am also grateful, that I was alive and drank whisky, when the whisky was still affordable – let us see how long it stays that way! I will give this 88/100 (22/22/22/22).
