Islay Malt (Caol Ila) 10 yo (bottled 2008), Liquid Treasures, 58,7%

Review #804
This single cask is from a Bourbon barrel, and only 171 bottles were made. It is one of Liquid Treasures anniversary bottlings. Simple on the nose. Light grassy peat and vanilla. Simple yes, but good!

It is richer in the taste. The peat is more dominant, and some hay joins in. The sweet peat stays for quite a while in the finish. Sweet ripe white fruits comes forward as well, and gives the whisky another layer.

A simple whisky, but the quality is good! The finish is what stands out to me and gives it a little bit extra. This would go perfectly with a pilsner or IPA. I will give this 85/100 (21/21/22/21).
