Review #332 |
This is
from A.D. Rattrays series ‘Individual Cask Bottling’, and it comes from a
Puncheon with cask number 96/723. Only 656 bottles were made. Marzipan, floral
and citrusy at first in the smell. Oranges… Lots of orange! The wood is gentle,
yet I sense some tannins in the background.
Heavy in
the taste. The oak is more dominant here. Again I sense some tannins. Marzipan,
nuts and spicy vanilla. Some citrusy notes appear in the finish, but it is
mainly some sweet caramel and toffee notes that stays behind.
