Review #452 |
This is
from the series ”The Un-Chillfiltered Collection” and comes from Bourbon
barrels with the cask numbers 101825 & 101826. Only 652 bottles were made. The
nose is light and fruity. Some wax and honey sweetness with hints of floral
notes in the background.
The taste
is much more floral at first. Then the sweetness comes rushing in with some oak
hidden in the background. The floral notes gets a bit subdued in the finish
where some fruitier notes appear. Pears and peaches comes to mind. Still with
the floral touch though…
The floral
notes in the taste reminds too much of old flower water. It ruins the
experience a bit for me, but that must be filed under personal preference. Normally
I don’t find Auchentoshan this floral… I will give this 78/100 (20/18/19/21).
