Review #474 |
This is
from the series ”The Duncan Taylor Single” and comes from a Sherry cask with
the cask number 515463. Only 135 bottles were made. The smells reminds me so
much of a sweet Sherry, but not overwhelming sweet at all! Marzipan, red
berries and light hints of raisins and prunes.
The Sherry
cask is truly showing its face in the taste! Wow! Everything you want from a
Sherry cask! Raisins, prunes, ripe plums etc., but the dried fruits isn’t
overwhelming, but with a sweet touch! Nothing new happens in the finish, and
thank God for that! It just lingers out very beautiful.
Please
don’t serve this too cold and give it some time in the glass. The smell is very
light and delicate, but when it comes forward it is lovely! The taste though!
Everything I want from a Sherry matured whisky! I will give this 93/100 (23/24/23/23).
