Review #503 |
This is
primarily from ex-American oak, but a little touch of Sherry casks and Swedish
oak is in the mix as well. It is very fresh in the smell. Notes of malted
barley and new make spirit. After a couple of minutes some fresh green apples
and sweet pears comes forward.
The white
fruits are dominant in the taste. Hints of citrus as well, with a little oak in
the background. It gets more sweet in the finish. Especially marzipan comes to
mind, alongside some vanilla and honey.
Not very
complex, and a bit young. Apart from that, it is a fine dram, that works very
well in the sunshine. And if you can enjoy it in the great Swedish scenery, it
is perfect. I will give this 81/100 (20/20/21/20).
