Amrut Kadhambam, 50%

Review #606
Kadhambam means mixture or combination. And now hold on – it is a mix of normal and peated spirit, first matured in ex-Oloroso casks. Then it is transferred into Brandy casks, and for a last period of maturation, into Rum casks. Both the Rum and the Brandy was also produced at Amrut. Sweet raisins, dry oak and some fresh plums in the smell.

A little alcohol burn in the taste. Seems like heavy toasted and/or burned oak. The sweet dried fruits really comes forward in the finish. Burned caramel and oak comes forward as well.

Fun combination of casks. A little impression of everything. Seems like all the casks are burned, even the Oloroso, or maybe it is just the little peat that play some tricks on me. I will give this 85/100 (21/21/22/21).
