Review #304 |
The smell
is light peated, light spiced with hints of vanilla and citrus. Overall it
seems a bit simple and young. A lot of malt is coming through after the first
wave of light peat.
Again some
light peat in the taste, but yet again my first initial thought was: very young. And watered
down to 40 % not much is going on… Considering all the above mentioned things,
the finish actually stays for quite a while! The peat is doing the work here.
For
starters, they should have bottled it at (at least) 46 %. But from my point of
view, the only thing to do, to make this whisky work, is age. Not much power in
this, and not much to say… I will give this 76/100 (19/18/20/19).
