Review #322 |
This is
from Diageos Flora & Fauna series. It is a bit sharp in the smell at first.
Then very fresh with fresh fruits and floral notes. Then it changes and some
black currant comes forward with some ripe plum.
The taste
is very herbal at first. Slightly spicy, and then some dark berries comes
forward. Dried plums as well if you can imagine that… The finish is compact at
first, but becomes weak rather quickly.
I cant
shake that feeling that this is a whisky that doesn’t quite know what it wants
to be… I know a lot of people think this is heavily sherry influenced, but I
think it also tries to be several other things. Herbals and spices mixes in, in
a confusing way… I will give this 82/100 (20/21/20/21).
