Review #327 |
This is a
17 year old Glenfarclas bottled for the Danish retailer “Eriksen Vinhandel”. The
nose is classic Glenfarclas. Light, sweet and fruity. Kind of dry with dried
fruits that sticks to your nose. Raisins and dates in particular.
The
sweetness from the dried fruits really stands out in the taste. Then the dried
fruits take over, but not in a dominating way. The finish starts a bit watery,
but not in a bad way. Hard to explain… Especially because I always scream for
higher strength! The fruity sweetness is mixed with some sugary sweetness in
the end.
Even at 43
% this is very flavorful! And even for a Glenfarclas it is very sweet. It got a
sugary touch that I normally don’t detect in Glenfarclas, but in a very nice
way. I will give this 86/100 (21/22/22/21).
