Review #554 |
This is
single cask no. 69 from Maltbarn. It is from an ex-Bourbon cask and only 201
bottles were made. Oak and white fruits in the smell. Malted barley as well.
Dessert apples and caramel. Primarily the oak and white fruits though!
Again, the
oak is dominant in the taste. Fresh white fruits like apples, pears and coconut
as well with a little dash of sweet raisins. The sweetness carries on to the
finish. Long finish. Marzipan sweetness and nuts.
Perfect
amount of alcohol! Not too little to make it watery, and not too much to make
it too powerful. The oils just fills and covers your mouth. A classic single
malt whisky, and a great example of what Caperdonich is like! I will give this
87/100 (21/22/22/22).
