Review #572 |
Formerly known as Greenore 8 year old. So
light in the smell that I can hardly pick anything up… After a couple of
minutes some mild white fruits, like apples and pears, a little citrusy notes
and some sugary sweetness comes forward.
Much more flavour in the taste. That was
quite surprising! Some burned caramel, a little roughness, honey and vanilla.
The finish die rather fast and not much else happens, but some caramel
sweetness stays behind.
This is a bit rough in the taste, but a
fine dram. A bit more flavourful than young grain whiskies at 40% usually are.
Nothing special, but a nice, easy drinking, everyday dram. I will give this
80/100 (19/21/20/20).
