Paddy Irish Whiskey, 40%

Review #571
This is a triple distilled blended Irish whiskey. This was first produced in 1779 as “Cork Distilling Company Map of Ireland Old Irish Whiskey”. First in 1913 they changed the name to Paddy. White fruits and caramel in the smell.

Some burned caramel and just a hint of wood spices and black pepper in the taste. Actually a quite pleasant and medium long finish. Sugary and vanilla sweetness. The spices stay for a while as well, but not much happens.

A bit different and not as light as other blended Irish whiskey’s are. The price is of course low, but I am not sure when I would me another dram of this… Maybe on the rocks watching a football match. I will give this 75/100 (17/19/20/19).
