Review #613 |
In the
taste you are quite aware that it is cask strength (in the good way!)! The Port
notes shines wonderfully through, with the red fruits controlling the
direction. The peat, oak and oak spices comes forward in the finish, where some
dried dates and apricots also appear. Feels very fat and oily.
All the
notes are so heavy in this, that the peat almost is in the background. The
influence from the Port cask are great, and the way it all mixes with the peat
is actually quite elegant! I will give this 89/100 (21/23/23/22).
